Titan Seal uses blockchain technology to digitize and protect government records.
If someone contests a recorded document or vital record in court, they may claim that the documents were forged. All paper documents, including those that have been notarized with a stamp or seal, can be altered.
With Titan Seal, documents are digitally sealed with a unique fingerprint or hash, allowing document recipients to easily verify that the document has not been changed. Metadata about the document including the hash, timestamp and author are stored on the private blockchain. Once added, this record can never be deleted or changed. When Titan Seal documents are presented for verification, the metadata of the current document is compared to the original metadata. If they match, the document is verified. If the document has been altered, the verification process will fail, and the document will be deemed invalid.
Use Cases:
The Titan Seal service can be used to make any document tamper-evident. Today Titan Seal is used to protect a wide range of government documents including:
Vital records (marriage, birth and death certificates)
Recorded documents
Domestic partnerships
Election ascertainment certifications
